DC’s Man-Bat + Marvel’s Lizard = Wyvern

Dr. Curtis Kirk Langnors was a brilliant science student but came from a pore family so he enlisted in the army to pay for collage. He became a sergeant and while operating on a soldier in the field he was hit by a grenade, costing him one arm and most of his hearing. Returning to civilian life he became a research scientist leading the way in genetics. Some years latter he developed a treatment he hoped would restore his arm and hearing using bat and lizard DNA. It worked at first but soon the animal DNA took over, turning him into the monster Wyvern.

Most people compare the lizard to killer croc when talking about copycat characters but their similarities are only superficial, limited to looking similar.

Tell me which character I’m describing. A brilliant but disabled scientist uses animal DNA to try and fix his disability but ends up turning himself into a monster. Answer: both Man-Bat and Lizard.

I got the name Wyvern from a sort of 2 legged dragon. Hears a wiki about it en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wyvern .

I made this on one of the older fabricas (not sure which) and I never posted it anywhere because I wasn’t really happy with how it turned out but I also never got around to making a better version of it so I thought I might as well post it now. I’m thinking of getting back into microheroes so I might redo this character in that format at some point.
