Eh... I wouldn't feel bad for him. When I listen to this song, the real villain here is that poor bird. He loved her too selfishly and these feeling are stemmed from him thinking about his own happiness instead of hers... He was too vain, thought he was the best for her, and he wasn't able to let go of her, even when she was happy.
It's his fault he's like this now.

Maybe more pictures like this would do you some good, at least allow you to get some ideas out a lot quicker and then you can easily go back on them if you really want to do something elaborate.

I suppose so. I can only work instinctive when I'm inspired though--have a vision to begin with. I've been mulling over this image in my head for a long time, and knowing how I am, I can't just inspired myself into working on something for 30 hours when it's just for my own sake, so... if I'm ever to make art for myself... I need to figure out how to cut it down to one sitting and let my impulses guide me more than my brain... I beleive.
