Description
Finally! My first animation on DeviantART
"To go beyond" was my final year project in university, it was my second piece of 2D animation that I actually complete.
It is just a very simple story set in a corner of the world about the affection between two individuals. Lives fade, lives continue, live to go beyond.
The whole piece was done in Photoshop and Imageready mainly, and edited in After Effect.
And for the music..
The background music is composed and copyrighted by me.

The thing I most admire about this animation is that the style is like watercolour and the music, it's great that you made that too. You're a real multi-talent.
The story is simple but amazing and full of emotion.

this was by far one of the most beautiful scenes i've ever seen...
the death of the older woman, and the grief the younger girl must feel, but she thanks her letting her grow and evolve.. and go beyond..

I faked a watercolour in Photoshop when I paint the frames

I absoloutley ADORE you style of animation; it really reminds me of old, short, freehand productions such as "the Snowman", yet it has a twist of modern ideas and proportion.
This is loveley clip and it has such a beautiful meaning behind it, as it is linked to something you seem to hold so dear

I adore (and totally want to knee over) those classic animations which use traditional media like colour pencil or oil paint on glass ... mine is done in Photoshop, but I faked a thick watercolour style.

to be honest, i dont understand, what that thing about her wrist is : (
it looks like a handcuff, but if yes, i dont understand what it has to do with the film o_o;

It's a scene I always wished I've done better 
The thing on her wrist is something like energy charging. And in the next scene if you listen carefully there's a sound effect when she's adjusting her eyesight.. like focusing to the celling, or things in the room.

well maybe i just had that problem with noticing because im too used to that...sci-fi robot image full of cables and such :3
but those just wouldnt really fit with you soft colouring style anyway i guess xD;
