History: As a child, Quentin Nygma was part of a class that was presented with a movie-related puzzle as a challenge. Nygma, with his natural knack for puzzles and desire to be in show business, thought he would be a shoo-in. However, Nygma could not wait and cheated by sneaking into the principal's office after school hours and looking at the answers the night before the quiz was officially issued. Nygma spent the next few years studying special effects techniques, but later surfaced as the criminal Enigmo, always leaving mysterious clues and using illusions at the sites of his crimes. Frequently foiled by the deductive abilities of Dark Claw, Enigmo vows to outwit the Clawed Crusader once and for all, if only to prove that his own is the superior mind.
