It is possible for Ben to change his gender. Ben has been a girl many times in the show. Ben switched bodies with Gwen and Hope once. Ben switched bodies with Gwen in the Reboot too. Pesky Dust is trans female. It is strange why Ben has not become a woman again in the show. There's also Ben's female twin named Jennifer Tennyson who is from another universe and timeline. Oh and there's also a female version of Ben's Anodite form. Ben was originally going to be a woman. So Jen Tennyson is canon. She's just unused like Ben's ten canon and unused alien and superhero transformations.
