My first Ratchet & Clank Into the Nexus fanart
After seeing those awesome videos last week, I was so blown away. Especially after they revealed the new main villain(ess), Vendra Prog. And well, I wanted to draw her because she looks like an awesome character
This took me a while though, because my hand is a bit achy and I only get 3 days to draw a lot. And I'm a slow drawer. Impatient too.
I decided to throw her brother Neftin Prog into the picture - which may have been a mistake. He was a pain in the ass to draw. Due to lack of good references, so I'm sure 75% of his details are off. Not many fans seem to like him neither... XD
But Vendra Prog on the other hand, she was a lot easier and much more fun to draw. She's got such a cool design and she's so unique for a R&C character too. And she's got some sort of psychic powers! And doesn't feel threatened by Ratchet at all. In fact, she toys around with him during the first level. About time we got a MAIN female villainess. Let's see how she lives up to her hype when Into the Nexus comes out in the next month. So damn excited.

Finally, some proper female nightmare-fuel!!
Though really, it was only a matter of time before we got a couple of RaC-characters with an origin story involving an orphanage-stay-gone-horribly-bad-scenario.
Can't wait to face the Nether beings and scare the living bee-juice out of Thugz-4-Less!!

Orphanages seem to be rather popular in the R&C ehh? Even Ace came from one! But it does make me wonder what Vendra Prog did so wrong...

Now this is really nice, the colors work really well together and blend into eachother quite delicately!

Wow, this is a masterpiece!Β Β You drew the Progs in an amazing way! I really love the colors, and the flames give the image a mystical atmosphere...Β Β I also fell in love with Vendra's design since the first time I watched the videos, I think she's so perfect, and you drew her so good!Β Β
I also like how you drew Neftin and I don't think that throwing him in the picture was a mistake - he suits in the picture so well!

I'm intrigued by these two and I'd like to see if they are a decent threat. So far it seems like they are since Vendra was in a state of cryo-sleep and you don't just put anyone in that.
Despite drawing slower, you can always be more precise that way

Well she does seem like a decent threat, not feeling threatened by Ratchet and even trapping him inside a ball of energy, toying around with him and whatnot
So yeah, Im very keen to see how he and her brother are! And thanks a lot. I try my best, even if my hand is uncomfortable to use much xD

I used to use Prismacolor pencils, but with the disability in my right hand, it's too hard for me to use them for colouring anymore. So I've settled with the far more expensive Copic markers xD which are much easier on my hand, and quicker to use overall.

Yeah I should have asked for some good refs of Neftin but I got a bit impatient with myself. Luckily Vendra was a lot easier with the images I had. But yeah, next time I'll know better! And should have the game for myself anyways :-P And thanks.

And hey, it's great you're a Neftin Prog fan! He's not getting much love from fans I notice D: (some saying they dislike him) but I dont dislike any R&C characters. And I'm a big supporter of the unloved R&C characters
I'm not really a fan though, just neutral but I'll see how he is in the game itself. He doesn't seem to be a typical dumb-brute though, he's already more serious than the Thugs at least and does not talk like an idiot. But I have a feeling Vendra get's a bit pushy with him

Well then again, most R&C fans only care about lombaxes. But I am glad to see Vendra Prog getting a lot of praise! A non-lombax for a change
I'm excited to see how Neftin and Vendra Prog are in the game when it comes! I'm so excited that I'm going to buy the US version off PSN the day it releases over in the US on Nov 12th, because there's no way I'm gonna wait until Nov 20th for NZ
I'm sure there will be a bossfight with Neftin! Hopefully he just doesnt get killed off though, same with Vendra D:

Haha yeah, I was speculating that Neftin (and Vendra) might be Markazians, months ago when the first R&C Into the Nexus trailer was released, because Neftin has 5 fingers and their skin is similar. Then fans started to think the same but then out of nowhere, an Insomniac said "They're not Markazians." so yeah. They're their own unique race. I can't wait to learn more about them and what they are!
