'Tis the season for... birthday presents. This is done for a friend of mine that just bought her first house with her husband, and turned twenty-six this past Sunday.She loves the color blue, the sky, and the ocean so this is one of those pieces where you are supposed to decide for youself whether she is flying or swimming. Either way it works, and either way I really like it. This is the most time consuming background I've done since The Raven Queen[link] and I have to say that I'm really happy with it.
Tomorrow will be adding color... I'm not sure how much or little add though. I know that the swirls are going to stay uncolored, but the rest of it could end up in technicolor.
*Please don't color this, since it is a birthday present for a friend, and therefore meant to be one of a kind I will not give permission, even if asked.*

This is really great. The background patterns are fantastic.
When colouring, I think it could look neat to have the each line a different shade of blue, instead of technicoloured.
