Description
Many foals want to find their cutie mark as soon as possible, to discover their inner talent. But I wish I never uncovered my 'talent' , if you could call it one. It's no talent, it is a curse. When I was a filly, I had visited my great aunt's house. I saw a trio of crows that wheeled into the room and cawed madly before flapping right out. Oddly, nopony even stirred or gave any notice of the cryptic behavior of three black birds that had just flew in front of their eyes. Not soon after, my aunt, who was in the same room, died suddenly of heart failure. That night, an ink-black feather appeared on my flank. I did not know what it meant at first, but the same events repeated themselves later - I constantly saw strange crows that were invisible to others. I realized my talent was predicting death. I tried to challenge fate by trying to prevent a pony's death. I would try to warn them, or catch them before they fell, or take them to the nearest hospital before it happened. But all I could do was end up having to uselessly watch them die, because all my efforts went to waste in the end. I have now taken to a life of being secluded within my home, to avoid seeing ponies and predicting their deaths. As I write this, three inky birds have landed on my windowsill.
But nopony is in the room except me. I feel a strange, ice-cold chill down my spine.

After so long, I found the time to get a drawing up! Plus a random story bundled along with it. If you cannot tell, she has predicted her own death.
Pens and pens!

The fact that such a talent exists indicates the existence of "fate", or more precisely, "a predetermined sequence of things that cannot be changed by free actions of creatures". I have attempted to devise an experiment to test the existence of fate, but failed.

All very Poe-esque, though I do think that the "explanation" is somewhat unhelpful, if only because it is so unnecessary.

That's some great writing you have there, and the art is amazing as well. Have you considered getting an account on FIMFiction?

I have thought about making pony fanfiction, but I would be afraid that I wouldn't stay committed to finishing a story. But thanks for the suggestion tho, I might do that sometime in de future. I never thought my writing was all that good.

You could always try making a one-shot that's around 1,000 words long. It may seem like a lot, but if you have a good plot and transtitions, it'll work out quite nicely. If you decide to give it a try, send me a link!

Darn creepy. But no matter, your work remains wonderful as always. Yer one of my top favourite traditional pony artists, and with me having about 1600 people on the list now, that's saying something.
