Description
Chapter I: An Equilateral Vision of Things
[First] - [Previous] - [Next]
Begin Chapter: [Chapter I]
Synopsis : The only thing he knows for sure is that since that ridiculously stupid accident, he won't be able to know anything for sure anymore. And he so doesn't like it. After all, when Bill Cipher finds himself trapped in Dipper's harmless body with the horrifyingly annoying and frightening idea that Pine Tree has now got the powers of a dream demon, nothing can go wrong. Right?
It all started with that dumb carpet. Unless maybe this simply was the last straw that would finally break everyone's masks... The real question is: when did it really begin? Among the lies and acts that split a whole family apart, 'trust no one' never has got such importance; even towards your best friends.
The Pines are a family of pathological liars after all. Aren't they?

Dipper has spent some time off-screen checking multiple timelines. If you go back on Page #024 and look at some of the frames, you'll see that he first got a glimpse of Ford or the portal when he was looking for a way to reunite with Mabel. That's when he first noticed that something was going on, and then... He simply went back and checked a few more times to see the whole story.
(Looking back at my files, the full list of the things he saw during that page that have to do with the Stans' story is the "STAN PINES DEAD" newspaper, the portal once active, Ford getting out of the portal, and some frames with just random scenes that include Ford in them. There aren't THAT many because that page was meant to show/spoil a lot of other heavy content, not just the Stans' deal d: )
Then again, Dipper DID learn a lot of things he shouldn't have. Before July 12 he had no idea who the author was (as such he didn't know Stan's motives), and he didn't technically know about the portal itself, but he was already very suspicious of Stan for spoiler-related reasons. I mean, there was a reason why Stan doesn't seem to have a copy of Journal #3 lying around, right?
