In chinese, wood have something to do with numbness, in a sense. The way you only did one eye is sort of like having only one eye open, seeing yet not seeing.. just numb. I agree with the rest about the textures.

that's amazing. i'd like to see some sort of full-body type of thing, growing out of the ground or something... or do some more of people made from other things... you've already done wood, so you could always do the other 4 chinese elements (water, fire, earth, metal)... just a thought.
