a giant stitch dragon and nico marlet designs for everyone else? oh hell yeah i bought that art book [which is AMAZING btw].
and YOU KNOW WHAT? instead of dragon fan art you guys get humans.
because good lord hiccup and astrid were adorbs.

The ones with Toothless as a Human with Hiccup are starting to freak me out.

I was confused by the lack of coordination in the dragon designs. It looked like one person designed Toothless, one person designed the other small dragons and a third party designed the giant T-Rex dragon. But yeah, it was a precious movie! I just wish they'd placed Astrid's nose and mouth higher on her face.

that's actually pretty much what happened! sanders designed toothless [SHOCKING right?] and then i think marlet did the original designs for all the other dragons. based on the artbook the queen dragon looked more like a collaborative effort but it had the same face structure as some of marlet's. so. DUNNO. but yea pretty much what you said. i can see why they'd want toothless to stand apart from the other dragons [especially for kiddies] but the differences were sorta drastic. still fun to draw though!!

I've yet to see this movie, though from what I've heard it's pretty sweet, and if there's a scene in the movie anything similare to what you've drawn here, it's just one more reason to see it. You've done an excellent job here, because it's pretty darn adorable.
