Description Yet another character for the monster collab:

This is Tali. She owns and runs a small bookstore in Bridgeport, she doesn't get much business, but she has a couple of regular customers, and enough people stop by to keep her out of the poor house. The bookstore has a second level where she lives, unfortunately she doesn't have a washer/dryer, so she has to drag her laundry down to the laundromat every week. She's painfully shy and prefers the company of books to people.

As for her affliction, Tali's right eye is possessed by a demon named Dardapto. Dardapto can't do much, he can communicate with Tali telepathically, and sometimes if he's in a bad mood he'll thrash about which causes poor Tali to have severe migraines, but nothing other than that. Tali can't see out of the eye he's in, but he can.

When Tali was in Highschool, she had very few friends, and was basically ignored by everyone else. Tali eventually decided to try and change this, and make a couple of new friends. As a result of this she ended up getting invited to a small beach party.

Everything was going pretty good at the party until a couple of the students pulled out a book that they had purchased for the occasion. It was an old book about magic that they figured would be fun to mess around with (none of them believed in magic, it was just supposed to be a bit of harmless fun, like goofing around with a Ouija board) They had even picked out a spell and brought the needed ingredients. Tali was a little nervous about the whole thing, but didn't want to be left out and so she joined in as they set the spell up.

Long story short, things went horribly wrong. The spell was real and the students ended up summoning a devourer class demon, namely Dardapto, and he went straight for the first person he saw: Tali

Now, Dardapto's style of feeding was basically to devour his victim's senses first; sight, hearing, sense of smell, then sense of taste (by devouring the tongue, which subsequently took their ability of speech as well) then moving through the nervous system to destroy their sense of feeling. After this he would move from the extremities, inwards. Due to this, Dardapto went straight for the eyes first.

Tali would have suffered a long, excruciating death, if not for what happened next. People, especially high school students, often mess with things that they shouldn't, but luckily there are people who spend their lives keeping dangerous things away from the ignorant, and helping to fix the damage when those unaware mess with things they shouldn't. As luck would have it, one of these people caught wind of the student's idea to mess around with magic, and was waiting to see if they'd go through with it, or chicken out or mess the spell up (like people unaware of magic often do). He had been planning to stop them if they actually managed to complete the spell, but the summoning was faster than he had anticipated. As such, the most he could do was seal the demon within the eye, which Dardapto had already entered and was beginning to devour.

After the demon was safely sealed away, everyone begged the man to get the demon out of Tali's eye, but he refused; he said it was up to them to get it out, since it was their fault for messing with magic in the first place. As long as the demon wasn't currently posing a threat to Tali, or anyone else, he didn't need to do anything more.

As you can see, Tali still hasn't managed to get Dardapto out, neither Dardapto or Tali are very pleased about this fact. Regardless, Tali managed to complete high school and college, and is pretty well adjusted to the whole thing.

Fun Facts!

- She still keeps in contact with the others who cast the spell, but they all live in different towns now. Even though the whole eye possession thing kinda sucks, at least she got some friends out of the deal.
- She's very self-conscious about her eye, and hides it with an eye patch. People used to ask questions about the eye patch, so one of the other students who caused the whole mess suggested she wear her hair to hide it.
- Tali used to wear glasses, but after her eye got possessed, wearing glasses for both her eyes when she could only see out of one seemed... kinda pointless. Not to mention trying to maneuver the glasses around her eye patch and hair got a little annoying. So she started wearing a contact lens in her good eye.
- Tali orders magic books from time to time to try and find a way to get Dardapto out of her eye, but she keep those in the back of her store and does not sell them (She doesn't want anyone else to suffer the same fate she did)
- When she's looking through books, Dardapto demands to have the eye patch off so he can see what she's reading and make sure she's not looking for spells to kill him. If she so much as glances at a spell that involves killing demons, he'll throw a tantrum and give her a migraine.
-Dardapto's an ass, occasionally he likes to make Tali have nightmares about the night when he entered her eye (it was a very painful experience for Tali, one she doesn't particularly like to think about) He accomplishes this pretty much the same way a normal person can make a sleeping person dream certain things, by talking about them while the person is sleeping. Like if you whispered "let's go to the park" over and over to a sleeping person, they might start dreaming about going to the park. Dardapto does that, but he uses telepathy; it can be tricky, though, because it sometimes simply causes Tali to wake up, so he usually only tries it when he's particularly bored or in a spiteful mood.
- Tali is aware of the halfway home, but rarely goes there due to her shyness, occasionally she may visit, but she tends to talk about books the entire time, rather than curses and her possession (she's not a very good conversationalist, so she tries to stick with what makes her comfortable; namely books).
- Sweaters are made of awesome.

Sweaters are indeed made of awesome. And so are demon inhabited eyes.

Why thank you

The seal was fun, I just scribbled random doodles around the circle. I love scribbling up nonsensical, meaningless languages/symbols.
