Emira had just ran into her twin and best friend as the two talked amongst themselves in the library. Seeing it as an opportunity to tease the both knowing the crushes they both had on one another she approached them.
“Hey Ed, Ember hows the two love birds doing?” Emira had said in a sing song voice, causing the two too look her way blushing at her statement.
“H-hey ‘Em.” Ember had said to her long time friend with a small blush still on her face, embarrassed but happy about being called love birds with her crush and other long time friend.
“E-Em we aren’t love birds! Ember and I are just friends!” Edric said to his sister as he turned fully to her with.a blush on his face. Ember had looked at Edric’s back as he said this to his twin. Grabbing her shirt at her chest feeling as her heart began to break at the remark as just friends, while not seeing his red face.
Emira’s smile slowly left her face as she looked at her best friends reaction to her brothers words. Knowing she messed up at the statement, and plan to make her brother confess to their friend.
“Ember I-“ Emira began as Edric turned around to get a conformation from their friend.
“Right Ember?” Edric asked turning to his friend with a smile until her opened his eyes seeing her cast down look, her hair covering her eyes hand still gripping her shirt tight.
“Ember y-you ok?” Edric asked her as he went to reach to her. Ember had back up and put on a fake smile the twins could see through a mile away.
“Y-Yeah just friends. I’m sorry to cut the conversation short but i need to get back home to help dad with the garden. I’ll see you g-guys at school.” Ember said as she grabbed her bag and ran off., Not without the twins noticing tears starting to run down her cheeks.
Edric had his hand out while watching the girl he held to dearly to him run away and turned to his sister who looked horrified at what she caused.
“Em why did Ember run away crying, DID I SAY SOMETHING WRONG?!” He asked his twin frantically. Emira turned to him and sighed and looked to him apologetically.
“Ed I’m sorry its my fault…I wanted to tease you guys, and get you to confess, but it kinda back fired and you said you were just friends which I didn’t think you would be stupid enough to say with her right there…”
“Wait what are you saying why would Ember run off when i called her just my friends when…. Wait dont tell me SHE LIKED ME BACK?!” Edric had asked until he realized his mistake. Hitting himself on the face he fell down against the book shelf bringing his knees to his chest as he hid his face.
“I’m such an idiot…” He said to himself.
