Description Sorry I haven't been around much lately.  Been very busy with some holiday projects.  One of which is this little model I put together just after Thanksgiving.  Modeled and UV Unwrapped using Blender 2.8, the textures were painted for PBR and the model can also be used as a game asset or rigged for VFX rendering.  This is a commercial model which I made available on several of my stores, and converted to work with 3dsmax and also Zbrush as a ZTool.  It's also available as OBJ or FBX.  The Blender and 3dsmax versions come with custom materials and render settings included.   This is the first scene render I created with the model using Blender Cycles render engine in Blender 2.81.  I'll also post a 3dsmax Vray render as well as a Blender Eevee render.

If you have an interest in supporting me by purchasing this model, it's available on my stores at CGTrader and Turbosquid currently.  Here's the links:

CGTrader:   www.cgtrader.com/3d-models/foo…

Turbosquid:  www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/g…

Hope you like the render.

OMG!!! there is now a blender 8.1 well I won't stress over it now I have enough to learn with what I have. Thank you for sharing this amazing render with us it is so real looking I want to take one right now and eat it. Truly amazing. You inspire me to continue until it all sinks in. The other software you mention I do not have only Blender. I wish for you a blessed Holiday Season for you and your family. Here is my non 3D card for everyone but it is a craft so you might like it Happy Holidays to everyone . Your grateful friend.

Thank you so much, Denyse, and thank you for being so patient.  I was so extremely busy all last month I hadn't even been able to make any new tutorials for Youtube or anything yet.  Things are just now starting to wind down, and unfortunately, I completely forget where we left off in our tutelage.  Please send me a note reminder on anything I need to help you with.  I know you were waiting for me to help with the rendering and finalization of some of the models, but let me know if you made any progress since our last conversation regarding that or if you're still waiting patiently for me.  I'm very sorry for the prolonged delay here.  I promise things will return to normalcy before the holidays at some point.

My dear friend John.   Because I know how very busy you have been and having finished my Christmas project, I started a new one step by step tutorial. I am now working on a beginner tutorial of something I am not that excited about to do as your models with all the intricacy is what really inspires me. This particular tutorial is in 15 parts I am on part 3 now. It may or may not work out because it requires the use of several textures to map that are on other sites and I do not know if I can download them or not without joining. There are several objects in the scene as well so could become a bit difficult as well. As you know, I do not want to join anything else online so I will have to see what happens when I get to that spot. I think they might be part of the video as others I have used have them as direct links. This particular video I would hope does take one all the way through the setting up the scene and rendening and final editing. I do not look ahead to the next videos as I become horribly stressed and worried that I will not be able to make it  and become overwhelmed so will let you know how it works out.

So let me try to get through it and see if I can learn what I need to learn in order to finish those 4 models of yours I have already worked on that will be great. If I do need your help again I will contact you after the Holidays and wait until you have the time. I want you to enjoy the Holidays most of all with your family. You have been working so very hard you need some R&R.   It can all wait.

I just posted a Christmas art for everyone and do not plan on adding more now especially since DA is rather flooded with work at the moment for everyone to view, comment and fave etc... I really appreciate you kindness so very very much but fairness for me at least means trying my very best to figure things out and only asking you for your help when I become so frustrated that I want to stop creating. I am not there this time as I have worked up the courage to try again. I can honestly tell you that the more I do even if I cannot get it to the very end, I do it faster and better each time and I am remembering those very things you have so patiently taught me over the years. By the way, I have not given up on the Pendant, yesterday I was fooling around with my file that had it upside down and remember you helping me with how to rotate in 2.8 and realized I had not made sure that the pendant itself was selected so I kept rotating the whole scene. I know you did your own for me but I feel I need to do it myself to earn your respect. It is the same with the models I want to learn how to make them rather than downloading them already made. I do hope it all makes sense to you.

for now.

Cute.   I like how you've added the glass of milk in your background. It definitely adds a sense of realism to your piece.

Like so many things, I had an idea to do something along this line with a gingerbread family, but, time seems to be racing away before I can get to it this year. Good thing I have a new version of Blender to play with. It should keep me warm during long winter nights.

Thank you.  I have one more render of this character I wanted to upload that featured even more details.  I'll see if I can get that one up soon.
