Description
Cervocorn is an original breed by :iconForbiddenHanyou:The original breed sheets can be found from here~> forbidden-hanyou.deviantart.co...
THIS is just a SKETCH and still includes plenty of ERRORS compared to the final shape! DO NOT USE!
I made some sketches out of the breed how I see it from the description.
I made several anatomy studies from horses and deers and there's still a lot to come but thought I'd show you the first attempts I made for us to share
- Placing of the horns and ear shape Ears are supposed to be bigger, more like on a deer
- side/angle view of the body, neck is thinner than a normal horses and creates a 90 degree angle with chest. Very straight upwards like on a deer~ The chest is more rounded like on an arabic horse!
- Cloven hooves as mentioned on the description. I made them more deer like by adding the 2 extra nails they have on their feet, both back and front The hooves are strictly like a Unicorns~ NO extra nails!
- hair growth on the hooves, short/medium/long
-antler studies, unicorn, short ram and deer horns. All of them are spiraled like mentioned in the description, that's why the thickness doesn't vary that much or the antlers can't have any wider parts like on a moose etc~
The deer horn is a good example of how the spiral continues throughout the antlers and the splits look as if they are a continuation of one of the curves and continue smoothly until a sharp tip
This is only the first sketch and nothing is finalized. It's just to start working on the basic build of the Cervicorn and ideas of what parts should be introduced in the reference sheets if you're working on them
Should I reference the moves straight from the pictures you sent me earlier or would you prefer side profiles of each?

Added a new breed-sheet, this one focusing on the breed standard/conformation: fav.me/d6eonsp If you could attempt the 'Baroque" body build, I'm be very happy. Also, I just noticed, but the ears here need to be a bit bigger; kinda like a deer's large ears. :3 More info on the new sheet. ^^

Awesome! I shall do so~
I'll make some more sketches today and if the body build seems fine then I might start with the actual gait pictures ^^!

Awesome. I'd probably have to commission you a foal line-art too, later.

Sure
So this one should be a male or a female and what type of antlers?

The foal should probably be female, since it will be used by owners for the designs of their foals from registered parents. :3 You should make that one a cute side-view that slightly shows the face full-on, so you can see the facial markings. Kinda like the foal is looking at you. The foal should have a regular unicorn horn; just small-sized. And for the Baroque one, you can choose the gender/horns. :3 I guess the best way to describe that body-type is it is like that of a Friesian, but still has a slight dish to the face, like an Arabian. the neck, and legs of the Baroque Cervicorn is like that of a friesian, while it's head still has a slight dish-not as much as an Arab, but still noticeably there. Their torso is like that of a moose, elk, or caribou; whichever you can find fits the best. Remember though, the chest is nice and round like the Classic body type has. :3 Hope I explained it well. ><

Ok, now for my own comment on these...Well, everything looks great except for a few things...especially since the main greyscales for the imports are already done, some things are set in stone. I had the chest rounded out more than a deer's because it really looked weird with the way the neck curves, like that of an Arabian. The legs themselves are strictly unicorn, so the extra nails aren't really needed. But I REALLY love how you drew the horns and curled ears; especially the antler horn! It's exactly how I imagined it. ^^ And the horn placements...genius. I knew it would be good to commission you this. ^^ You are too good. XD

Aw~ Thank you :#!
I'll search more on the unicorn hooves then and fix the chest in my future sketches~
I'm really glad that you like my style and vision! I've been wanting to work on some special breed for a long time and now it's specially great because I was hoping to better my horse anatomy knowledge! <3

I don't mind if it's public Lu...I see it as a way for the breed to gain more interested people. ^^ And the one who just said she's interested seems to be quite well known among the horse community.
