Kull is actually the ancestor of Conan, about 8,000 years separate them. He became king of Valusia in the story "By this Axe I rule" (I think, correct me if I am wrong).

Kull was around long before the oceans drank Atlantis. Atlantis was just a teeny collection of islands during his time and he was actually a native of these islands (once again, correct me if I am wrong).
