The dog looks like she/he is waiting for something. Or maybe just staring off into the distance. Either way, this is cute and a unique approach to portraying dogs in the grass

ProjectComment I love the way this picture gives me the sense of a warm and windy spring day!  I like your choice of colors and I think this is a great first attempt at a background!

The way you worked different colors throughout the grass is particularly effective and gives it a feeling of depth.  You have darker/less detailed lines further in the picture, but I think it works that you didn't make the closest parts completely light.  It's a fast and loose style that complements the overall sense of windiness.  It does seem like the grass cuts away so that we can see the whole dog.  I would love to see at least a few pieces popping up in front of him, particularly his tail.  You could even add a few blades right up against the edge of the frame that are really tall, to make it feel like the viewpoint is coming from in the grass as well.  Taking a peek at Ricky's tutorial, it looks like it really helped you!

The teal you chose for the sky helps it feel warm but not hot, like a deeper blue might.  I think it works.  One quick trick to make your skies look even better is that they tend to get lighter towards the horizon.  And if you're working digitally, you can do this really easily with a gradient tool.  I like your clouds, nice brushwork there.  As for the anatomy, it looks fairly good to me, and I think having a bright background with a light, desaturated figure works well here (cute doggo!).  However, I think the ears and possibly fur and tail would be moved with the wind, which would help doggo feel like an active participant over a passive viewer.

Overall, you could still work a little on anatomy and drawing fur, but I love the impression this picture gives.  It really tells a story!

Hi~ I'm from/Found you in and I'm here to give you constructive criticism!

Lets start off with the basics!
-Anatomy,The anatomy is great! I never drew animals before,,well except ponies,,Maybe get some pictures of dog anatomy and try to improve by also,looking at how the dogs chest area/legs/ect. Look,and how it bends. To help you in the future.

-Coloring, is good, but of course needs improvement! You don't have to draw every line on the dog, instead you could just draw some fur (fur lineart) and then color the shadows. You might not understand me but please tell me if you want an explanation/drawing on what I was saying.

-background, eh? What's going on with the grass? The grass seems like is flying away,... And I'm also a confused on this bit too. The grass seems to go in every direction. I suggest to let the grass go one way or just let it be. (not moving.)
The background seems alright! You just need more practice with the cloud,as I also have problems with that too .
 
A minor mistake ;; The grass,(where the dog was sitting) add some grass poking out. Since some grass are just born-

Overall; the drawing was good,I just hope this helps you a little bit with your drawing. Good luck !

Jen ti poradím, když už se snažíš kreslit srst, podívej se na nějakou předlohu - srst ti jde na obrázku všemi různými směry, ale vypadalo by možná líp kdyby byla nějak uspořádaná :3 třeba tak jako na tom ocásku ^w^
