Asviel, a Librarian of the Hake Empire. The Hake elves, proud of their empire's many millennia of history, compiled and stored knowledge lavishly, and the custom of the Great Library existed in some form or another for nearly eight thousand years, formally ending only with the final collapse of the independent Hake nations.

The scribes and librarians of the Hakes also sometimes filled a second role - which might have been their primary one depending on who you asked: as people with a talent for listening, writing things down and compiling information, they were also involved in spywork and intelligence.

Despite the importance the Hakes themselves placed on their stores of knowledge, their librarians did not become important to the wider world until Asviel's addition to the diplomatic team that traveled from the Hake realms to the demon-lands of Polforia in A.a.H. 2461.
