Very beautiful.I've never heard of the home of fairies story before. Usually when I see a lonely tree in the middle of a field I think of a survivor to human's destructive actions.

Lauryn, I really like this image. I've been thinking about doing a set of images with one lone tree as the main subject. I guess that is what really made me stop and look at this image very carefully. I really like the sky in this one. Stormy and ominous, but with sunshine on it - quite a contradiction. The tones you used in the final presentation are very well selected. Rustic looking, but very appropriate to the subject. There is one part of the image that really hammers me, though - the road leading to the tree. That road just begs to draw my attention to the tree, and keeps it there. Thanks for sharing this. sweet. is this that tree in the middle of nowhere off of hwy 61? my friend chaz told me he was trippin once and it turned into darkwing duck and tried to stab him.

I guess I should have mentioned that...it was with some photoshop brushes I downloaded from dA a while back...I don't remember which ones they are though...
