Another great cat, Sandstorm! I love her character, in general I'm a sucker for sassy girls that like to fight for their morals, and Sandstorm fits into that category perfectly. She's pretty much strict and snarky to most cats, but is sweet and gentle around her family, right up until her death. As I've said before, I headcanon that Dustpelt had a crush on her and only grew out of it once she snapped at him. I don't think she ever had a crush on him, and always just saw him as her best friend, even when they weren't really talking after her outburst.
For her design, I used an old one and altered some of the patterns. I also decided to draw 2 Sandstorms, as I like to think she had a big poofy fur tuft on her head when she was young, but slowly lost it as she got older. That's why in the Sunhigh Confrontation drawing, I had a small tuft of fur on her head to show that she was still young, but it wasn't as big as it was when she was an apprentice. I also think she was just fluffier as an apprentice either way lol.
