Description
The working title for this fan fiction is “Until It Happens”, which I am partial to, however, I am also quite partial to naming it, somewhat unoriginally, “Garage Kids”.

Most of the designs are from their original Season 4 designs, with some exceptions (Aelita’s pauldrons, William’s Evolution design, Jeremie and Laura’s designs). Normally I pull from their Season 1 designs but decided a more futuristic approach was needed for a more futuristic setting.

Alpha Team (from left to right, Odd, Jeremie, Laura, Aelita, William, Ulrich, Yumi) deal primarily with Xana’s attacks that threaten galactic safety. Most of these occur on the source of the Dying, Lyoko, which was the first planet the elves of the planet Brionande colonized. Xana was discovered locked away by natives several thousand years ago. Once he was released, Xana released his monsters and indoctrinated followers. At first he only targeted spaceflight species, but evolved to planets with globalization of sentient races.

Odjoti Del’a-Robi’a (nicknamed Odd) is one of the three Warriors. He is Katalian, a short lived catlike species from a planet called Shaecarro that once held several humanoid animal races, which also included Avianna, which were birdlike. He is a talent acrobat, archer and sniper, and also has basic hand-to-hand training that is made more efficient with his claws.

Jeremie Belpois (nicknamed Einstein) is the Team Leader. He was a student on Earth until the Dying reached it. While not a combatant, he is trained to be able to dismantle enemy weapons or cybernetics, thus like all Team Leaders is equipped with an omni-tool like device called a Scipio. He is also self-taught in necromancy.

Laura of Lake Sedouai (nicknamed Mermaid) is the Specialist. She is from a mostly water-covered planet called Atlantrios. Natives of this planet spend most of their childhood underwater until they turn sixteen, when they make a choice to either sacrifice their voice or walking comfortably on land for the sake of legs. They can then freely walk on land or return to the sea, in which their tail returns. Laura is in charge of the Network, which is where all of the information on Xana is stored. The Network also connects the Towers. While not a combatant, Laura is a skilled swordswoman and also equips a Scipio.

Aelita Stern (nicknamed Princess) is the Guardian. She is the Princess of Brionande. She is a light elf, which is a rare subspecies of elves that are able to use star magic. She, like all Guardians, can control nature and enter Towers to activate or deactivate them. Despite being considered a combatant, she is equipped with a Scipio.

William Dunbar (nicknamed Dracula) is the Spy. He is a vampire originally from 1860’s Germany. He was involved in many human wars before eventually defecting and travelling the world. He was recruited in 1955 in southern Transylvania by the Queen Mother. He is adept at using shadows, and can also use his fangs and claws in hand-to-hand combat. He primarily fights with his two-handed sword.

Ulrich Stern (nicknamed Grouch) is one of the three Warriors. He is a half-elf and Aelita’s ‘younger’ brother. He is, however, physically and mentally older than his sister. He is the bastard child of the Queen Mother and her not-so-secret lover. He is a skilled swordsman and athlete. He also uses magic that enhances his speed and can create copies of himself.

Yumi of the Mountains (nicknamed Geisha) is one of the three Warriors. She was a career soldier on the planet Nayorijo. Natives of this planet are often called shapeshifters, despite the fact they can only transform into one animal that is genetically passed. In Yumi’s case, this animal is a ninetailed fox. Yumi is highly trained in military tactics, tessenjutsu and bojutsu. She is also a powerful psychic.

(To be completely honest, I feel bad about making Yumi’s animal form a ninetailed fox. I feel like making her a kitsune [which i believe is correct] was just sort of overplayed, so if anyone has a better idea, I’m open to it.)
