Description Okay I’m really sorry for not posting anything lately? But I literally haven’t had the time to finish anything until yesterday/today thanks to a well-placed snow day. MissBelleMA came up with a rEALLY CUTE Mythology AU, where Sleetman is Hades and Diamondwoman is Persephone. I don’t think I’ve posted anything of them on here....? But they’re a thing now and their ship name is Snowflake and it’s aDORABLE.

Aaaanyway, I fell in love with their designs immediately after she doodled them, and I was watching this YouTube channel called Overly Sarcastic Productions (specifically, Red’s Mythology videos) and I found this gem of a frame that I immediately decided I had to redraw with Hades!Sleet and Persephone!Diamond. youtu.be/Z4dAMMkqPoY at 6:21

So... yea! I didn’t shade it because a) I have to shower and sleep b) the original isn’t shaded and c) I’m lazy. Still looks good/cute tho plus it’s digital so up it goes!

Sleetman and the art are mine
Diamond And their AU designs are Belle’s
Original frame drawn by Red (OSP)
Hades and Persephone belong to gods know who, anyway I didn’t come up with them

Ahhh I know!!
Maybe! I actually saw this one myth that I think would be really cute to do with Ashes, the myth of Atalanta. youtu.be/zjTDoXGR7-M Boop.
Smolder would be Hippomenes in this situation-
I’d have to do more research to figure out what goddess she’d mix with if we’re going for the god side of things (since the main one she’d fit, Athena, swore to be single for eternity so-)

At first I wanted to make Smolder Apollo, but now watching the video you left, I do feel like he should be Hippomenes! Ashes live in everyyyyyyyy universe!!! X3
Same, more research shall be conducted

It's been a while, but I think they're interesting.
Like today in class we were taught the origins of love from the Ancient Greeks, I found it to be one of the most amazing things I ever learned about

LynnDoubleLegacy In reply to Som3bode [2018-02-16 01:10:08 +0000 UTC]

They really are!
Yea; the Greeks believed in 4 different kinds of love, which I think is really cool-

The one my class read was when the humans were split into two by Zeus(I think or the gods in general) when they tried to build a tower to heaven and was struck back down to Earth. And now the halves try to find their other half regardless of m/m f/f or m/f because m/m was the children of the sun, f/f is the children if the Earth, and m/d was the children of the moon. Let me clarify anything if you need to

(Ima moon kid!!!)

The only Greek love myth I can say I know well is Eros and Psyche-
Psyche was a princess who was even more beautiful than Aphrodite, and Aphrodite took offense to this, asking Eros to make her fall in love with a hideous monster, but upon seeing her he stuns himself with her beauty and ends up accidentally stabbing himself with one of his own arrows? Anyway, she ends up being abandoned on a cliff after a prophet says she’ll fall in love with a monster that even the gods fear and Eros plays invisible so the two can be together, Psyche eventually finds out who he really is (pricking herself with one of his arrows in the process) but Aphrodite ends up even more ticked once Eros finds out and is betrayed, ANYWAY Psyche lowkey dies because of the fourth task but Eros fixes that and brings her to Zeus, literally everyone tells Aphrodite to back off and she becomes a goddess and his husband eternal and it’s really cute-

Ah, that was a nice story! Yea Aphro, you jelly(actually yea I guess so XD)? Eternal love, I luvvvv!
I remember the characters that we were taught in freshmen year, but I'm going to keep them a suprise once I look up how the myth goes

Ye! Aphrodite spends basically every myth she’s in either messing someone over because they’re prettier than she is or matchmaking people and possibly messing them over thanks to it (cough Helen cough)
Okey!!!

The myth I'm going to tell you about Echo and Narcissus.
Narcissus' mother asks Tiresias if Narcissus will live to old age, in which Tiresias says yes as long as he doesn't know himself, I'll say it later. Anyways, 16 years later while Narcissus was hunting, a nymph named Echo spotted and fell in love him.(The story of Echo was that Zeus likes frolicking with nymphs and one day Echo was stalling Hera so that Zeus can get away. Unfortunately, Hera realized what was going on and cursed Echo by letting Echo only repeat what she heard from other people, doesn't have to be the whole sentence). When Narcissus lost his hunting buddies one day, Echo waited for him to speak to make her move. In short, Echo got rejected and died of starvation in a cave, with her voice being the only thing left of her, repeating whatever is spoken. (He literally said something like,"I would rather die than to let you have me!", frikkin jerk). He rejects other women after Echo, but one of them goes to Nemesis, the goddess of vengance, for justice to be served. Narcissus being tired from hunting, went to lake(that was a trap) to drink, when he saw his reflection in the water and fell in love with his reflection. He goes on hopelessly to try to hug and kiss his reflection, he's so obessed with his reflection that he starved himself to death and Echo watched him die...

Yea!!!! Blame PJO again (haaa), also the word narcissism is derived from Narcisus’ name so there’s that too
Well I can tell you the story of Hyacinthus if you want

Som3bode In reply to LynnDoubleLegacy [2018-02-18 23:59:53 +0000 UTC]

Yup, I remember where narcissism came from when I first learned it in 9th grade
I would like you tell me that for my bedtime story XD (but srsly you can tell me now)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

LynnDoubleLegacy In reply to Som3bode [2018-02-19 06:54:58 +0000 UTC]

Idk when I learned it but I did at some point so
XD Well I was playing Twilight Princess so I guess it’s a bedtime story now-
Anyway, back in Ancient Greece homosexual relationships (at least, between men) actually weren’t totally frowned upon (after all, what’s manlier than two men?), and Hyacinthus was this super cute prince Apollo ended up falling head over heels for. He ends up asking him out, he says yes (surprisingly, since a LOT of girls have either flung themselves off of cliffs or turned into various plant life to get away from him), they end up doing the couple things, but Zephyros, as it turns out, has a crush on Hyacinthus too. He ends up getting jealous and doesn’t know what to do with his feelings, sO one day when Apollo is teaching Hyacinthus how to play this one game that was basically horseshoes but with rings? I forget what it’s called hnghhhh, but anyway Zephyros ended up shifting the wind and sending the ring into the side of Hyacinthus’ Head, killing him. In his grief, Apollo turns Hyacinthus into the first hyacinth flower, and Zephryos, scared of what might become of him if Apollo takes revenge, ends up going to Eros to ask for protection, as what he did was because of love. Eros gives him protection in exchange for his services, and yea!
