A wittle pic I did for my friend for his birthday. He loves Link and Zelda games in particular. I really like the way Link, Epona and especially Navi came out in this. Even though the BG DOES leave a little something to be desired (and don't ask about the bubbles, I don't know where they came from either. O.o)Related content

Extremely nice job. I love the overall effect of the image. We all know link needs some time to relax after what he goes through in Occarina of Time.
I say this is perfect except Navi is there, nice job on the effect but I swear I hate that fairy.

ok... so there are quite a few people here that seem to appreciate zelda... could anyone (aimed particularly at the artist) please let me know where and how many piercings link had as an adult on Zelda: Ocarina of time for the N64... I want to do an ode to link and get the same piercings, but i no longer own my 64 nor the game... If anyone has any idea please let me know, thanks...

Wow! How in the world did you do Navi? I have Photoshop and I wouldn't even know where to begin! Awesome work! Trust me, the background's way better than just sticking a gradient or horizon line like I always do

Hopefully this won't take away from the mistique. Heheh, for the main body (circle), I use a circular gradient and then dodge it to make it brighter. Then I go over the lineart (originally black) with light blue and dodge/burn that some, then for the wings I take the dodge tool and put in the veins. And finally I put a pale blue corona filter around the entire fairy, add in some spots and dodge those to make glowy dots. Tada! Insta-Fairy. Hope that helped.
