again, i still can't believe they let me get this close! these swallows are amazing. normally its just the female that lets me do this but finally the male was comfortable and he had a bee in his mouth!featured here by

Your lucky or swallows must be be very trusting. I tried to take some shots of Galahs (parrots) on my front lawn this morning. Without a camera they ignore me. As soon as I came back with a camera they fly off.

smart birds! these are the only pair that have let me do this. we have finches, wrens, and blackbirds but they all get scared. to be fair, this pair will only let me take pictures of them when they aren't flying. what you don't see is after he takes off from the nest he starts dive bombing me continuously until i leave
