Yes. It snows here (in one small corner of the country above 1000 metres) in winter but is never as cold as the US. Very little powder snow here. Don't know exactly what the right conditions for big snowflakes is be we don't seem to have it. If snow lands on you it melts right away.

I find -5ΒΊC snow is when the best flakes come out (though they don't always then either... but usually).

yeah that's pretty much what i've been finding. we've actually had some quite beautiful snowflakes today but i was in class (of course).

Oh, that sucks. Personally I've kinda lost motivation to take snow flake photos, because I've already got hundreds of them (and that's after deleting at least the worst ones).

im just using them to fill time until i can get outside and do other photos. right now it's sort of ugly

Yeah, well I would be excited about them, but I've got so many, and my one from 2 years ago, with my old camera is still the most popular... I'm looking forward to spring though!

oh yeah, you live in australia. forgot that bit. these flakes only last in cold weather and even then the weather has to be perfect other wise they will come down deformed.

Yes, opposite land. I live at about the same latitude as central California. When you are taking snowflake pics we are baking.

yes, central California is not normally conducive to snow
