A bit of the Harran Virus leaked into a swamp what barely gets any sunlight. The infected evolved into Terrifying super-zombies called Volatiles. The Pines Family plus Danny, Dani and Wendy set of to investigate the swamp area with the help of Clementine and a guy names Kyle Crane. Meanwhile the Smith Family are on a road trip to somewhere. Unfortunately, their car breaks down and they are forced to crash with the group until they get it working. Little do they all know the Volatile threat approaches them and they have to find a way to avoid certain death and fight off those things.
