I think I'm broken.Note: Yes, I've read the Guardians of Ga'hoole books-- or enough of them to know that they're not my thing, and these owls have nothing to do with them.

How did you get so good at drawing beaks? Was there any specific source that you used to work on them? It seems that no matter how hard I practice, I can never make a beak look like it should.

I'm lucky enough to be very near a lot of bird species every day. Observation and lots of practice are the best advice I can give!

The first four. They're honestly really painful for me to read. aaargh. X) Maybe I should just grab one of the later ones? Man, the Warriors books weren't this difficult to get into!

First four where....The capture, the Journey (these books i found to be less interesting then the others) the 3rd one is....the rescue and the 4th is the Seige. The Seig i liked more then the first three...I found the rest of the books more exciting, but maybe the books just arnt your cup of tea eh? I really liked the books after Kludds death and the new ones about the Ancient Stories. So wut didnt you like about the first 4 your read mostly? I found that the one about Saint Aggys was ok, but the Journey i found really boring. I spose they needed something to introduce all the characters tho xD

The plot and characters are okay, I guess-- a little boring in parts, or just plain silly-- but my biggest problems are the writing (which, honestly, is bad-- even for a young adult book) and the avian biology, which I don't expect anybody but complete idiot bird nerds like me to have a problem with. X) Just... read Watership Down, and then read Guardians of Ga'hoole, and you'll understand.

I have read watership down. xD Anywai, its sposed to be a fantasy series really and doesnt really protan to reality. Her Writing skills are not the best, but i liked how simply it was. Lol i happen to be quite the Avian geek myself and the stories did bother me a little bit when it came to the actual biology, But as i said, its not sposed to be science fiction, pure fantasy. C:
