current drawing, A3 polychromos, i actually got a headache from drawing this, always happens when i use my head too much for consistant hours and getting woken by budgies in the morning...not to mention it was coldWork in progresses

so far only 5 hours, and ive only gotten mostly half the face done
but slow and steady wins the race 
this is partly my own and also from a reference as ive changed ear positions, eye colour (spots of course, cant be perfect with that). the photo has the leopard resting on a log, should i do a log or have it resting in the snow? rocks even? ideas people?

thats because it was a scan, but it had about a centimeter and a half above the scanning surface so when the light scanny thingo scanned it it made it real bright

I'd go with the log maybe, but perhaps a snow-covered log (the non-snow-covered bit being a deep rick dark brown) or something. So yeah, I'm leaning towards there being snow with it, whatever it ends up being.

thanks, i had to go purchase extra greys at the art shop just for this drawing, like $3.15 for each pencil....teaches me for doing alot of grey things

i just want to see what ideas i can get from people is all, i dont think snow will happen since i havent ever seen it before and it wouldnt bring the leopard out, but rocks maybe...

you should finish the head and some other body parts and then decide. what would go best with the cat? snow or a log would be nice.

I love the way you play with colors. It's quite unique.
Anyway, resting on... You should throw something totally obscure in there. Like, pink flower petals, or gumballs! Something bright and unusual, to throw the whole animal off, and make the drawing glorious!

Raining gumballs!!! (i remeber that from a movie somewhere) well its like spring isnt it in europe right? but i can tell you i wont be doing grass, the most hardest thing to draw and make look good...how is how i colour it unique? im just following the colours of the photos im using (the photo that i got its pose from was actually a very brown snow leopard, but i like the grey ones better...)

In the northern hemishpere, it's currently the middle of summer.
I think your style is most unique in that you can take very different hues, and put them together to make the animal look realistic. I suppose that's the way nature does it too, which makes your ability very impressive. You're not afraid to throw a brown or a red into the middle of a bunch of blues and greys. And yet it somehow all fits together.

oh cool, so its real hot then huh? its currently "winter" in australia but for the north of australia we dont have winter but just the dry, but its getting real cold at night....
i think the greys are my favourite of the colour pallettes, you can put all sorts of weird colours like orange into it and it still looks normal, then shade over the top with white and go over it again to make it that shaggy fur look, best colours out grey, even tho technically its a shade hehe. aww thanks, its nice to hear some nice stuff here and there, thank you

he was originally placed with a half eaten chukar within his paws (but it didnt fit in the picture too well) so i could have some blood in the drawing, but i also dont know how big they are in comparason with the snow leopard so it makes it a bit hard on me there

I think you should leave it the way it is since it keeps other mind open about the Leopard and what's its doing, but thats just my option.
