Bro.

BRO this took abso-friggin-lutely forever. I started it on his birthday, the 8th, and now it's been almost a week later of picking at it, redoing, putting off and finally finishing lastnight.

I wanted to try and push myself a bit with this one- do a close-up shot at more the face rather than the simple torso and up or full-body poses. It really makes ya think about how faces work and it seems like most lines just have to be perfect so it's tricky. I also wanted to try out some of that water lighting that I keep seeing from Pinterest and I wanted to try my hand at replicating it. (wasn't as good as I hoped but better than I expected.)

I also have been wanting to do a close up pic for Tippet for a while now cuz he's got the fancy eyes. XD

Little tidbit if you're still here------

My sister-in-law was tellin' me the other day about color theory, and also how the primary colors are different depending on if you're working with pigments or lights and stuff-
I was originally going to try to make his tenticles be changing colors, but I was already extremely intimidating on what I was doing that I didn't want to complicate things further.

BUT- he can of course change 'em to be any color he wants, right?
So I thought that since the true primary colors for pigments are Cyan, Yellow and Magenta, I wanted to put that kinda motif into it-
He's already got the miny cyan from his tentacles and eyes, and his scarf is yellow, so for kinda Magenta I made the shadows really vibrant pinky-purple, more than I usually do. I then (if you zoom into the eyes) put the colors in his eyes- they're already cyanish, so I added a little yellow and megenta dot to each just cuz I thought it was clever lol
