Description I should really call this "while you were away"...

I set it to render several nights ago, came down with a rather unpleasant case of gastroenteritis and didn't go near my computer for several days. Thus, it wound up rendering for 112+ hours to 1.3k s/p. The lights on her hands are mesh objects set to lights in Reality/Lux with a lens bloom applied, so no postwork on this particular image.

V6 HD head and body with various dials tweaked to get away from that mannequin look.

White Rose outfit for G2 Female by Aeon--Soul

Background set by Stonemason

1 HDRI light for ambience and 1 meshlight (not counting the ones on her hands, obviously)

DAZ Studio 4.6 -> Reality 2.5 -> LuxRender 1.3

Thanks, as always, for taking the time to look!

The armour suggests to me this is an Elven Mage.  Cannot see her ears so hard to be sure.  Love her pose.  My favourite part of this piece is the attention to detail of the armour on the upper part of her legs. 👌

She is standing on tiptoe which suggests to me that she has only just begun to draw power and that she will levitate if she continues to draw power.

Nice job. I like the idea of this. Although I feel the glowing orbs are a little too distracting. I'd dim them down or maybe change the design of them but nice job.

Super nice Mate! The glisten on her skin is a special touch.

Must try some FX like this, though not Reality for me anymore, but Octane.

Good to see the work from you!

Thank you very, very much! It's my oldest and most worn-out trick, but it worked well in this context.

I'm always drooling over others' Octane output (not to imply that I'm squeezing even 15% of Reality's potential), but it's not that much a temptation, as I don't have an NVIDIA card. Never know what the future holds, though.

Thanks again for the props! Always welcome...

You're welcome.

I have played with this type of F/X in Octane, but it seems tedious and not always intuitive. Problem is, the Poser light FX props don't work in Octane so one is stuck with this type thingy.

Hey, you've certainly found a groove.

Good job.

"Hon… found the light bulbs.  But I don't know if I should be worried… coz its beginning to light up in my hands!"

LOL love HD look, really awesome.

LOL - Thanks, as always. I'm not sure it's an HD-specific thing or not, but the knees blow my mind. Those knees...they're just perfect. I'll have to render plain old V6 with the same leg adjustments and see how they compare.

Wow… is this a fetish thing? LOL!

I know what you mean… they are pretty awesome!  U gonna take part in the Diablo 3 competition?

Nicely done! How did you do the magical spheres again?

lyssophobe In reply to Aerihan [2014-02-16 23:05:40 +0000 UTC]

Thank you! They're small spheres set as light objects in the Reality interface. At the end of the render, I selected Lens Bloom in LuxRender and fiddled with the settings until they came out satisfactorily. Pretty much the exact same process I follow to render lightsabers, only different.

Wow, what a great render, the long time rendering  did work out so good!!

Thank you! I'm not certain what difference the long render made; I'm not seeing any noise in the blurred areas, so that's good. The lens blooms took roughly < 30 seconds to calculate, so I can't credit those to the long render. Thanks again!
