I really like what you've done here - a good choice of colours on your palette.

Have you considered using a fan brush on the body at all?

A fan brush? please tell me more

Yeah, that was my exact response too!

Using a fan brush is the ultimate way of blending skin tones, it can really make a painting!

You lose all sight of any brush strokes and the colours and tones flawlessly blend together. It depends whether you want visible brush strokes or to have really smooth, life-like skin tones.

I'll stop waffling now... Here's a WIP of something I'm using a fan brush for >>> [link]

WOW yes, just checked out the link, very cool style i like it very much. What colors did you use on this one? The fan brush has worked well for the blending, i,m off to the art shop

I used raw umber and titanium white. The fan brush is well worth a try, especially as people are going for the more painterly look with more brush strokes these days: it might add something different.

Thanks, the raw umber works very well on this stunning piece, i'm inspired

The last limeted pallet i did (Captive 2) was done wet in wet in one go,but this one i only had two hours spare for painting. the layers take a couple of days to dry then i should finsh it in 2 hours.

Thanks, i am enjoying the limeted pallets because i struggle with colour, so i will do quite a few over the coming weeks plus there much quicker to do and i dont get bored with them.

I think colour is the hardest technique to master. I use a lot of colour but am also a long way off from being at home with it.

You should try some work with one or two colors plus white, its helping me not to get hung up on color
