You didn’t miss much. Season 2 was the best by far, nearly perfect from start to finish, lots of world building and expanding the mythology. And the 4 part opener to Season 3 was beyond awesome. But after that the series kinda changed formats and the story went in a weird direction. In Season 4 there was a lot of pointless romantic bs that never went anywhere and they retconned a lot of the mythology. And the finale was so bad it pissed pretty much everyone off. This pic is based on an au I came up with while brainstorming with a friend.

IDK. Did Game of Thrones end with the main character destroying all magic in the universe, the exact thing she fought so far to stop the main villain from doing in season 3, effectively erasing all the coolest characters out of existence forever and forcibly fusing two incompatible worlds together, just so she could be with a boy she was probably better off just staying friends with? A boy, I might add, who ended two relationships with two different girls who were much less high maintenance, just so he could keep her out of trouble.
