Description Champalimaud Centre (Lisboa) www.fchampalimaud.org/en/the-f…

"This project uses the highest levels of contemporary science and medicine to help people grappling with real problems. And to house these cutting-edge activities, we tried to create a piece of architecture. Architecture as Sculpture. Architecture as Beauty. Beauty as therapy.”

thanks, Richard. the tree is a nice and discreet detail indeed
(i used to admire this centre for its fabulous architecture. now it means much more than that... including some hope)

From the thumbnail I thought Β»Oh, they built a space elevator prototype somewhere?Β« Perspective looked like something vague from up high.

it has a "spacial" look, i agree it's just a pedestrian bridge connecting two buildings of this research centre
thanks for stopping by

Is Β»spacialΒ« even a word? (Well, maybe it is now. Hooray for neologisms!)

And yes, in the full version the bridge-ness is very much apparent, but on first glance it actually looked different

And you're welcome. I just tend to not stop by so often because the pictures amass in my inbox and I often need time to look at them ... aaaah ... time!

yes, it's a word (spelling may differ -> spatial, which probably is the most common form )
no worries and take your time!Β

Oh, I actually didn't know that spacial was an alternative spelling for spatial. I only ever encountered the latter.

And I will, and occasionally comment, if I may

as you know, this is a fascinating and photogenic place, in terms of architecture.
and no... only special staff are allowed to walk across it.
