Description
Oil on Panel, 60 x 90 cm (24" x 36")I'm not a 'flower painter' but I wanted to paint the flowers which were laid down, one by one, on my mothers coffin when she died in february.
Originally there were 40 roses, apparently one was missing.

this is my favorite in your gall. when I was learning the steps of watercolor, I always picked flowers to paint cause they were the toughest for me. do you have a class that you might want to enlist me in?Β

What a beautiful memorial to your mom. She would want you to be strong, and to continue to be the gifted artist that you are. She would want you to shine on and be the best that you can be. I think it is a wonderful thing that you did this magnificent painting in her honor. She is proudly smiling from afar, and I bet she sends a big hug too.
