Description I've mentioned the Creature of the Week activity a few times before. Well, they recently held the 100th round. The topic was 100 creature thumbnails in one month. It was an amazing, fun, difficult challenge. I'm very happy with the results, except that I should have included more invertebrates in the designs.

I second nemo. You are a very creative and even inspiring artist to me.

Did you read that book "Katurran Odyssey" that she wrote? Aside from the creationist overtones, it was a beautifully illustrated work, she can draw practically any mammal in any posture...

She also wrote "The Wildlife of Star Wars", which I own. It was pretty believeable (except for the "sky algae", or something like that), and the art was awesome.

Yes, that book was so good! Yet still, all the creatures there seemed to be weird earth vertebrate analogues, with the same bones, even teeth formulae! Ok, some were improbable reptile-mammal-bird hybrids, but still, I'd expect more variety... but nevertheless it was a five-star effort.

Yeah. That book gave me my early inspiration. Sadly, my early inspiration was pretty much deformed dogs labeled as aliens.

Oh, and another thing, you yourself were a source of inspiration when I did this, nemo-ramjet. I turned to your "Procession" image a few times when I was feeling dry of your ideas. #94 is perhaps the most inspired by that image, though I don't know how obvious that is.
