Description
Here's another image for my dad, this time for father's day. It's a tetrapod/shark hybrid type creature, with Helicoprion and several modern species thrown into the mix. It'd be fantastic if some of my more zoologically-minded friends here could think up a better name for this organism than "sharkopod."

He does bite, unfortunately. Sharks were quite excited when the mass extinctions first wiped out all land megafauna, but it turned out that adapting to life on land is nothing but hard work. First, their cartilaginous endoskeletons had to be strengthened to bear their weight on land. Harder, more rigid bones are much less comfortable than cartilage, let me tell you! Not to mention the whole debacle of changing the pectoral and pelvic fins into weight-bearing limbs. As you can see, there's still a lot of work to be done on the pelvic fins. The evolution of separate digits at the ends of the limbs is still just a distant wish. Breathing air is tough to get used to, as well.
See, if you had to deal with all that, wouldn't you feel like biting someone too?
He thanks you for liking him, though.

, I oughta quote that for the sake of my old biology teacher. And he's welcome, :3.
