Description
Messed with my State-of-the-art-paintshop-pro-5 and, among other, made this.Showing , more or less, my comic book inspirations
1) Donald Duck (which name its published here in Finland) was not only comic I read, its first thing I have real at all. I like most those long stories spanning several comics featuring Strooge, Donald and his Nephews.
2) Tex Willer is Italian western-comic, which is hugely popular also in my home country. I fell love with its evolving world and well written plots. Its also has very good art. I have looked much for it art style. It has been draw many artists but I like guy named Bonellis pen-mark.
3) Valerinan done by Pierre Christin and artist Jean-Claude Mézières. Instead that Belgian-school of very detailed but also lifeless style, they make comic with natural pen-mark and interesting style. Heroic couple on their comic is also very equal.
4) Modesty Blaise, a British strip-comic has also very competent heroine. Most definitely in my list for how heroines should work and what kind of plots good action-comic has to have
5)200AD. Can't ignore this British publishing. They had Many labels: Judge dread, Halo Jones (pictured here) Nemesis, Rogue trooper, ABC warriors... This comic showed me how different comic can be. Worlds, characters and stories were massive and entertaining but also raised some thought, especially Judge Dread.
6) Fantom Comic about masked upholder of justice. From exotic made-believe Africa to historical adventures this is excellent reading. In my youth in my neighbourhood had couple antiquarian which sold used numbers for cheaply. One of the first comics I collected
7) Michael Manning. In more adult style this man and especially graphic novel showed here made me big impression. one can make fetishistic comic WITH plot.
8) Ghost in the shell By Masamune Shirow. Even I have read, and liked, many manga titles their sadly lack on art-originality same like that say marver-comics. Comics of this man show impressively build worlds and technology which seems believable. It does not hurt that she draws cool females too.
9)La Bionda aka. Blonde in English speaking word. Franco Saudelli's masked heroine In pulp-scifi future, stands out in may ways. Impressive world, women's bound girls in every spread but still makes plot going. Saudelli's foot fetish produces odd angles and changing layout to comic.
