Description
This is a double page interior spread from my graphic novel Salsa Invertebraxa. Painted entirely in Corel Painter with a few tweaks in Photoshop. The book is like an Alice in Wonderland for insects, an adventure set in an imaginary world as two invertebrate companions set out on an odyssey of discovery and wonder. With one antenna listening out for the armies competing for dominance on the forest floor, the two friends encounter strange new species of insect among surreal gardens of terrestrial delights.
At nightfall, their mischief takes on a mysterious and foreboding turn as they attempt to steal eggs from monstrous super-predators, disturbing the fragile tranquillity of this bizarre Eden.

Impressive view. All insects looks like little killer robots (flying syringes))). It's scary)).
