Description
Getting cold, the colors fade, things start to break down.
I went crazy with smudging, not to sure about the left side but overall I like it, so I thought I'd submit it anyway.

You COULD have covered the left side in a really shiny silver texture, instead of a light obsorbing black. That might look really good.
And you could put something in the background that could make the foreground look less isolated (unless you were going for isolation).
Suggestions aside: I really like it

I love how you combined the metallic pieces with the faded silk stuff.

It looks to me like a hero fighting an dark evil over lord. The one in the upper right hand corner is the hero and he is smaller and slighter than the evil lord in the lower left hand corner. The hero is struggling to fend off the dark lord's attack. The dark lines and and spikes in the center seem to be comming from the lower left-hand corner. So it look like the Dark lord is attacking the hero and the hero is having a hard time defending himself, in fact he is losing...Anyway that is just me and I like fairy tales.
but I love this picture. The smudging makes it look more mysterious to me and better.

i see what you mean about the left side, the right is more striking but i like the juxtaposition between the light and dark and i think overall it really works. i love this, its very clever.

Thanks! I use cinema 4d for the 3d objects, and then I used photoshop for all the work around it, like all the smudges and stuff

Ah the infamous C4D, I am curious, I always ask this to C4D users - Why don't you use maya/3dsmax?
With my experience with c4d I found it limiting in its functions in comparison to the higher end pieces of software... often people say it is the cost, which I suppose applies if you are using a...legal copy..cough*.
I'm not critacising, as you have produced some phenomenal work with it, and I always say that that is the most important thing, I am merely just curious...

I've tried 3dsm once, didn't really like it back then because it was pretty hard IMO. I don't know now but maybe I'll check ik out later..for now I'll stick to c4d
