Asuma's a pretty cool fellla, actually, and this was just poking fun at the "Saru" part of his surname. However, you should see the treatment he gets from haters. Here's a few samples:

To be honest, I initially didn't think much of Asuma. Back then, Kakashi was my main man, and Asuma was more of the "Meh, he's okay" type of fellow. His death scene made me feel sorry for him, but that was it.

What really sold me was Asuma's depiction in "Kurenai Chishio Yoroi". Now that was badass, especially when he stood up for Naruto in the council room. He was so awesome in a way that is best described as His down-to-earth character in "Of Moving and Receptions" was sweet, light, and more of the canon Asuma that we know, and as far as I'm concerned, both fics was what catapulted him from Average Joe to Win From Behind.

"Naruto vs Sasuke the Aftermath" used to be okay, but there was too much character bashing, random insertions of Japanese words when English is just fine, and awful writing in later chapters. Asuma was an asshole there, but he got redeemed, so it was fine, I guess; but in "Doesn't Take Much To Mess Things Up" his character is mangled so badly I swear it's not even him anymore. I'd rather say it's just some random domestic abuser with Asuma's name slapped on him or better yet, an evil clone. Bad sadly, it's not. Safe to say, both fics suck monkey balls.

Oh yes "Kurenai Chishio Yoroi" and "Of Moving and Receptions" was a good read
Sadly as soon as they completely made Asuma a total jerk I couldn't read anymore either, just couldn't take that people made him so out of character like that, I just wanna tell them a big F*** YOU!

But Disney parody was a cute touch, completely made me see the entire movie in my head, really enjoyed how it fits :'D
and of course the funny fanfic made my day, its got the randomness that I like ^_^
