Is that...a Screw Attack tattoo? Because I came up with a story taking place after Fusion and the design for Samus has a tattoo of the Screw Attack insignia on her back because...VFD.
By that I mean that the tattoo is a symbol that makes Samus a bit easier to point out from other dirty-haired 26-year-old blonde girls with muscular bodies. The same way the eye tattoo on VFD members was used to identify allies...up until a schism happened and...well, now there's no telling if the VFD member is on Kit Snicket's side or Count Olaf's.
