We all knowNamiaCimora as a determned, dominant woman. But sha also has a heart of gold!
Here is what happened:
"As I was walking the street, I saw this girl crying her heart out on a bench, alone. She looked at me, I just sat next to her, gave her a hug, she cried, after 5 minutes, I looked at her, smiled and asked her to tell me her story.
What a story that was! She had lost her job three hours earlier and, as she was an undeclared waitress, she wasn’t entitled to any unemployment help. When she got home to find her boyfriend in bed with another woman. Further to the argument that resulted, her boyfriend kicked her out and told her that he would keep her belongings, selling them to pay for her part of the rent. She still had the keys but was afraid to go back as the guy could be quite violent (a gentleman…).
She had no place to go, was sad, told me she felt ugly, fat and useless. I told her she could come with me, and stay in the place I was currently renting, even if I probably had to go a few days later, the time to get back on her feet. “Don’t worry, I know the right guys to get your stuff back and it will be tomorrow morning! I have a busy day but they’ll escort you and make sure things run smoothly”.
Her name is Jahi. I knew nothing about this girl, but immediately liked her. And as Ben Harper wrote: “Speak kind to a stranger, ‘cause you’ll never know, it just might be an angel come knocking at your door”; I guess how much of an angel she can be.
