so i went onto ao3 to look for some baldi's basics fanfic right. and my eyes were immediately assailed by 8 results for just straight up written child p*rn on the very first page of results! a bit unnerved (as anyone should be), i go to the next page to see if there's anything else other than simulated cp.

the number spiked from 8 to a whopping 15 cp fics! so i went to the third page, now getting sort of anxious. surely there has to be more than this, right?

...right?

oh boy, was i wrong!

by the third and last page, i had counted a total of 21 out of 55 fics being simulated child p*rnography. approximately 38% of fic. never a good thing. and that was just in the basic "baldi's basics" tags without the bells and whistles of the full title.

so, blinded by desperation to find a decent fic that wasn't cp, i went into the full title tag.

24 of 54 fics in the tag, which is approx. 44% of the fics, were simulated cp.

so instead of being anxious, i just became straight up livid.

as a csa survivor who knows and is very close to other csa survivors, the fact that so many people have a ~kink~ for putting children in sexual situations (especially children with adults) is something that makes my blood boil.

i mean i'm not saying "GO OUT AND KILL EVERY PEDOPHILE IN COLD BLOOD! >:^D", but i am saying that this shit is unacceptable in every sense of the word. this should not be condoned. this should not be an environment that allows pedophiles to run free and do whatever. NO environment should be an environment that allows for that.

on top of that

simulated cp is illegal.

you can get up to 10 years of federal prison for possession of cp (simulated or not)
