The moment I took that shot, it was 6 degrees Fahrenheit, and later that evening, it was to go down to below 15 degrees Fahrenheit. The sunlight is deceiving. Brrrr.

-15. Yikes. Where do you live, Bemidji, Minnesota?

No, I live in Minneapolis. Bemiidji is about 200 miles north of here (A three-hour drive). I looked at the weather map, and both cities have been experiencing the same kind of weather the past couple of weeks.

The reason I said Bemidji is because American car makers used to do their cold weather reliability testing there. Maybe they still do. It's still one of the coldest places in the U.S.

That's interesting, I didn't know they tested cars during the cold weather in Bemidji. I do know
that they have a big car racing track there. I have been a tourist and visited Bemidji
a couple of times, but it was always in the summertime. I find it hard to travel in
Minnesota when the weather is this cold.

So did the carmakers, which was part of the testing impulse.

My impulse is to stay inside as much as possible. Granted, Bemidji is one cold place in the world.

Quite a good impulse when the probability of freezing is imminant.
