And he's finished!
Turns out he wasn't too dark after all, he was just pouty for his background. Done in charcoals.

I absolutely love the look that charcoal art brings out in the snow leopard colours. This looks incredible, I mean it. I remember you mentioning something about it being too dark before, but I'm glad that you didn't make it brighter. You're right, the background totally polished this off nicely. I really love how well the background blends in with the whole piece. Great work.

Thank you so much! Yes, it did look very dark against a plain white background, and right up until I finished, I kept second guessing how dark it was and I almost did brighten it, but decided against it. I'm very pleased with it.

You're very welcome. I suppose it's probably quite normal to second guess things until it's actually complete. And that background definitely completed it so well.
Snow leopards are my favourite of the big cats, but I'm sure that is obvious by my gallery and all. If you ever want to use any of my snow leopard photos (or any other photos) as references for your artwork, you can feel free to use anything that you want. You are such a talented artist.
