20110116Today's speedpaint of Dargon Age's Redcliffe

(sorry for not uploading anything; I've been working as a teacher...now I'm back to being unemployed... I've been painting portraits on the wall of my room, also made my first sculpture and other stuff I can't remember; Now just a 'speedpaint' because it's easy to submit/upload)

That is an amazing painting!!! The shacks look so depressing with the mist from the sea creeping in on them. The rocks also look so real. I wish i was as good as u. HOW DO YOU DO THAT??????!!!!!!!

There's a great 'rough feel' to the piece that gives it a lot of texture. I like how there are just enough highlights so that everything is defined but it's still dark overall

This is marvelous! The shading is great, and I love how you did the mist around the ship. Personally I like it in black and white, it gives it an eerie feel. This is a wonderful deviation!

I like the soft shadows and the grainy look of this image. The black and white works very well here. The light has a strange evanescent, diffuse aspect that I really like here.

Perhaps placing the characters a bit more on the right would make them more visible. The 2nd one looks like she's about to fall which contredicts the otherwise well rendered drama feeling of the scene.
