This image has a sort of delicate beauty to it. I like the way the photo is focused exclusively on the pinecone, blurring the lovely hues of blue and orange in the background.

Yes everyone seems to think that haha! It really looks like a hedgehog, but that's the purpose of the photo so I'm glad you thought it was an animal.

Yes I take the photos with a 50mm lens and sometimes a close-up filter for insects.
