Love this shot, it's almost like the hummingbird has an attitude with it's nose in the air haha

Wow that's amazing image quality for iso 3200! and here I had convinced myself that I didn't need a 7D. What kind of post did you do sharpness and noise reduction?

Mac-Wiz In reply to Karl-B [2010-02-27 22:32:07 +0000 UTC]
There will be noise at 3200 with most any camera, However Post processing makes a difference, For most of my images I use Lightroom and Photoshop CS 4 with the nik plugins, Sharpener Pro, Define, and Viveza. This combination is a winner in my book

Amazing!! The sharpness, timing and composition is just perfect! And you almost completely froze those superfast wings! I am very impressed by this shot!

Absolutely stunning! It's amazing how fast those little wings go. Great colors and focus, I really like the fairly bland background too, it really makes the bird and flower pop. Great job!

Nice, I really like the frozen feet!
If this is a crop I might leave some more on the left of the bird, as its a bit tight for my taste.

Yes this is a crop. I may have a go at it and re post if I like it.

Amazing, even at 1/3000 its wings still are blurred.

I've seen photos of hummingbirds before, but in yours makes me notice how small their wings are compared to their body...
Congratulations in capturing this! Beautiful.
