"Kanya was bought by a friend of Erins all the way back in 2017.
She was rescued from a overpopulated and illegal breeding barn in which she was kept in very bad condition and meant to produce as many foals as possible according to the association of Eztli Horses.
This year, we were finally able to have her transported to us in fabulous condition, the mare has gained back her weight and worked through her miscarriage quite well.
Kanya has shown great potential in the dressage ring, in which we're hoping to compete her very soon. "

"Kanya to this day, is still quite terrified of men and Stallions, she will not be covered any time soon. We are currently working on improving her trauma, so she will be easier to handle at shows.
In general, this mare has a very sweet personality, wanting to please her rider with all she can.
As we often get questions on why we roach some of our horse manes, Kanya was so stressed by her miscarriage and her past trauma, that she developed a soothing behavior in rubbing out her mane,
so the staff has decided to give her a standup mane, to make her not damage her roots even more."
