See, the story is a bit more complicated than one would think. Lena Oxton, my roommate, and one of my best friends since Pilot Academy was lost in time. Her Chronal Accelerator miscalibrated and it sent her spiraling across time, sending her to who knows where. And now she was back, here right in front of my eyes. As soon as I see her, I can’t help but already notice that something is off. Her movements are stiff and measured, almost as if she was carefully considering every movement she made. Her outfit was also quite outlandish, that’s a dangerously bold outfit, even for Lena. And finally, when she opens her mouth. Her voice seems hollow and emotionless, as if she’s trying to hide something from me.
“Hello Luv. I have returned.”

Her rather stoic response does garner some interest, but I brush it aside for now, mostly concerned for how my friend has been in her time away. "Oh Lena, it's so good to see you... It's been a while since I was your roommate.. Now, I I guess I'm an.. Ensign?"

She says all this with a blank monotone
